Dishcrawl "Secret Suppers"
I have attended two more Dishcrawl “Secret Suppers,” one in Greensboro, the other in Winston-Salem. The Greensboro Dishcrawl was a progressive dinner, starting at Imperial Koi, moving across New Garden to Reel Seafood Grill, then concluding back across the street at GIA, with several courses of small plates at each place. In Winston-Salem, we met at 1703 Restaurant, where Chef Curtis Hackaday was able to capitalize on the opportunity to expand beyond his regular menu and do some more creative things.
These events are highly recommended, just because they are so much fun. And you get lots of tastes of good food for a good price, along with a lot of socializing. What makes them “Secret”? They are open only to those who register in advance. You get an e-mail notice letting you know what is going to happen and where, then you have the option of signing up. Go to http://dishcrawl.com/greensboro/ or http://dishcrawl.com/winston-salem/ to learn more about future events.
